WHY AN ADJUSTABLE BENCH?
- Adjustable benches help musicians sit at the right height relative to the instrument. This encourages a relaxed posture, which leads to better technique, and can help prevent physical pain and injury.
- Adjustable benches can be customized to different heights and positions, making them ideal for students, teachers, and performers of any age or size. The bench can adapt as the physique of the musician changes.
- A bench that is easy to adjust is necessary when the bench is used by multiple people in studios, homes, performance spaces, churches etc.
What are the weight limits of the bench?
The benches have been stress tested up to 500 lbs.
Where do you ship your benches?
We ship our benches all over North America. If you are outside of this area, please contact us for a quote on shipping.
Can I add more padding to my bench?
Yes, we can add additional padding.It is an option when ordering.
What are the different options for legs?
We offer Tapered Legs on both of our adjustable bench models. Please refer to the product details for more information.
We can also shorten the length of the legs, at no additional cost.
What are the adjustable bench dimensions?
A closed bench measures 13.5″ (34.3 cm) wide x 20″ (50.8 cm) long and 18.5″ (47 cm) tall.
What is the difference between The Classic and the Student models?
The difference between the two models is the finish.
The Classic comes in Black only, and has a slightly textured finish. We put ceramic beads in the lacquer, making the finish more durable and fingerprint resistant.
The Student model has a smooth, satin finish, and comes in a choice of six colours
- Concert Black
- Medium Walnut
- Dark Walnut
- Mahogany
- Cherry and
- Light Oak.
The size and construction of both models is basically the same.
How long does it take for my bench to arrive?
We can usually ship within 3 days.
If you are ordering a custom option, such as tapered legs, it might take up to 8 days to ship. We use Canada Post (for orders within Canada) and UPS (for orders in the US), so their regular shipping times apply.
Can I send you my own fabric for the bench?
Yes. You can send us your fabric for your bench. The minimum size is 20″ x 24″. Please ship to our mailing address.

Does the bench have a warranty?
We take pride in our work, and are committed to providing a product that will last for decades. In the rare event that there is a manufacturing defect, we will offer a refund.
These are handled on a case by case basis.
Do you make a duet bench?
Sorry, we do not make a duet bench.
Instead, we suggest that you use two Exemplar benches turned sideways and placed side-by-side. This allows for each player to be at the correct distance and height for them.
Are your benches available in stores?
We are the manufacturer and we sell directly to the consumer. This is how we offer our customers excellent value for their money.
